Camping in Mahia
Starting off our YROA YNOT crew's School Holiday Camp in Mahia. The day started with establishing our base camp; setting up tents and the kitchen area.
We then engaged in different activities through the day; icebreakers, camping skills, investigating a local crayfish business finishing off the evening with shared kai and korero with whanau & locals. Right before bed it was time for marshmallows and campfire games.
In full swing, starting the morning with a quick energizer hikoi up Mokotahi followed by breakfast back at Basecamp. Games of volleyball and campfire korero followed.
The afternoon weather changed the plans but we still had activities to do. Hut Building competition, fishing/filleting, truth/dare challenges, campsite volleyball and card games.
Packed down and cleaned our campsite, followed by karakia & checkup of our huts for the HutBuilding competition we then left Mahia. Now time for a quick soak/showers at Morere then home bound.
