Dance Workshop

Lead and choreographed by Royden Winitana

Crew members mixed in will local and visiting children & rangatahi learn the choregraphy to 2 dances along the Wairoa walkway. The rest of the community were able to watch on and watch the routine unfold as the dancers were put through their places.

Art & Crafts

Using natural (driftwood, shells, feather) and simple storeboughts knickknacks (paint, glitter, ribbon) our tamariki were able to make various Xmas themed decorations as well as use the tools to create their own magic.

Wairoa Graffiti

Showcasing the urban artform Nolan Maru starting the morning by teaching the basics of lettering

Then proceeded to write “Wairoa Hopupuhonengenenge Matangirau”

The children then had a turn creating 2 graffiti art pieces and try out some of the skills to create a finish product.

Xmas Float Parade

Suicide Squad vs. Ninja Turtles

Self created by the YROA YNOT crew the float trailed the parade giving out lollies.

At the end the crew invited the kids to jump on and have some photos on the float and feel like part of the day.
