Developing Leaders In Our Community
This FREE 6 day programme is designed to build the ability of young people to have the confidence to take leadership of themselves, their families and within their community in the event of an emergency.
The programme is a practical, hands-on experience which focusses on increasing the individual confidence of young people with leadership, first aid skills and ability to respond.

Minister for Youth Wairoa Visit
Youth and Community & Voluntary Sector Minister Peeni Henare was hosted in Wairoa for a few hours today, visiting the town to hear about what was going on in the the Youth & Community development spaces as well as to share some insights into the government's current status, updates on policies and opportunities moving forward.

Youth Innovator's
10 Yroa Ynot crew from the age of 10-17 yrs old have been invited to attend the Young Animators 2 day Free Workshop on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th September hosted by Te Kura Kaupapa O Te Wairoa and venue at the Wairoa College.
Young Animators is a mobile programme which can be taken to any region in the country giving tauira/students the opportunity to access and experience animation technology, concepts, principles and tutelage which they would not have access to otherwise.

Adventure Wairoa's First annual Whānau Triathlon held right here in Wairoa!
Whatever your fitness level or age there is a distance for you!
So grab your friends, Whānau or work collegues and put a team together for the triathlon!

Needing to identify and agree on what outcomes we want to see for our whanau and community.
Advice gained from rangatahi, pakeke , community leaders, professionals and whanau would help guide the future planning of health and social services in our community.

Akina Te Reo - Te Wiki o te Reo Maori
Every year since 1975 New Zealand has marked Te Wiki o te Reo Māori
This is a time for all New Zealanders to celebrate te reo Māori and to use more Māori phrases in everyday life.
In 2016 Māori Language Week runs from 4-10 July, the theme this year is ākina to reo.
